BEACH SAFETY RULES

1. Make sure you swim between the 

flags because so the lifeguards  

can see you when your in danger.   

                                                                                                                                                               2. Always have an adult watch over you so that you will be even safer.                                     

3. You always need to lisen  to the lifeguards so that you can stay safe.

4. Make sure that you don't swim alone if you do you might be it danger  

5. If in doubt stay out because it might be dangeres   

PBL Butterfly

this is my butterfly. 

Intro - what are they?

A butterfly is a type of insect that can fly. A butterfly is very pretty, some of them are colorful. Butterflies have soft and delicate wings. Butterflies live all over the world. They like to fly around gardens, especially if there are lots of flowers. Monarch butterflies have black and orange colors on there wings. They live for one or two weeks.

What they eat

Butterflies like to eat nectar from flowers and rotten food bird droppings or animal dung. Butterflies eat by drinking nectar from flowers through their tongues. Caterpillars eat lots of leaves. Caterpillars of monarch butterflies eat only milkweed.

Where they live

Butterflies are found in some countries in the world. These are the countries that most of the butterflies live in, California, Hawaii, and Mexico. They prefer these countries because they are hot, less rain and more flowers. They live in trees and plants because they like to rest in them on rainy days. This is where make their home. Butterflies live by themselves.

What I most enjoyed

I enjoyed painting because it felt cool when I stroked the paint with the brush.

What i am most proud of 

what I am most proud of is when making the body because the shape of the body and head was really hard to shape.

Something I found challenging
something I found challenging was when I did the body and head  it was really hard to shape because when I had to make the body it always yous to stick up.

What learning muscles i used
I used my planning muscle because I had to plan my model at first, I also used my persevering muscle for persevering to make my model.

                                                 The snowy forest.

Main ideas:

• Walking through the forest        
• Icey snow
• The snow storm
• Ready to go home.

1. Walking through the forest.  

One cold and dark night I was walking through the freezing cold snow. Every little step I took it made a big footprint. The snow was so deep that it came up to my knees and it was freezing cold. While I was shivering with fear, I knew there was nothing to be afraid of even though I was all alone. The sky was really dark  and I could hear the snow owls hooting loudly in the dark forest. I was thinking if I would find someone in the forest I would not be all alone anymore, or Maybe I could find my house.

2.Icey snow.

It was so cold that strings of  ice were hanging off the tree branches and also the trees looked like they were frozen. There were so many frozen trees that they're were full of clumps of icy snow.The ground was full of small tree sticks and leaves on the snow because of all of the trees. I heard all of the birds chirping away in shiver, the birds looked liked they were covered in snow. I was afraid i would not return home safely until morning because the dark snowy sky was turning lighter. I was shivering even tho I was wrapped up in my warmest jersey and my favorite white and blue gloves.

3.The storm

While I was walking through the snowy forest I suddenly heard something big fall I was worried, then i almost forgot that if my family was worried about me. I looked left then I looked right but no house or nobody to be seen then I looked behind me and then there was a GIANT SNOW STORM. I was freaking out sooo much that I got goose bumps. The giant snow storm was heading towards me “what should I do?” I ran as fast as I could but it was still chasing me around, but luckily it slowed down. But I remembered that I was still not back home, I saw the snow storm leaving me, was relieved. I saw something that looked like house ran to it and it was a giant snowy house, there was so much snow and it also had ice hanging of the house. I tried to open the door but it was not opening it seemd like it was frozen, I went to one of the windows it was watery, so I swiped the window and there was a girl sleeping in a warm blanket. She suddenly woke up and I she was looked just like me. Her hair color was just like mine, her face was just like mine, she came towards the door she opened it and she saw me.

Ready to go home.

“Who are you?” I said. she did not answer. I said it again “Who are you?” This time she did answer , “I am Mennat. “I am Mennat too”, why don’t you come inside, so she led me inside the house, everything was just like my house. She was questioning about how I got here. I told her that I got lost, then she said if she would like to take me home, I took a chance and said yes so she got up and led me the directions, “how do you know which way to go?”, “ because i live in the forest”. I saw something behind the trees, “it’s my house!!! Thankyou so much mennat. So i ran to my house and i knocked on the door my mum opened it she grabbed me and hugged me and then she said “where did you go?” i told her everything then i went to bed and then i went to deep sleep after my long journey.

In my special place there is lots and lots of shops because in my special place there is heaps of people in a small country. In the shops there is lots of fancy dresses, on them the is heaps of gems, sequins, glitter, sparkle  they are also really colorful, silky and really long.There was heaps of pretty dresses in blue, pink, white, golden, violet and  purple. My favorite one was the one with heaps of  and white glitter, pink silky fabric and  pink and white gems on them, it was really long to.       

2.WEATHER

In my special place the weather was really really hot even with the fan on full speed. It was really hot because there was heaps of people in a small country, so it would be really crowded and hot. It is still hot in winter like in 25 degrees but there is different cities so they have different weather, like in Gram it can be 0 to 10 degrees. I also think that the weather can be hot at afternoon but cold again at night. In the morning it is also sometimes hot in gram but it is mostly cold in the morning because it's more chances for it to be cold as ice cream in Gram.

3.delicious food

 The food is super yummy  but i'm not allowed some  meats like pork, ham and bacon, but the food I like the most  is the spices, cheese pizza, And veggies. I like spices because i've been eating my mum's spicy food ever since i was 1 year old. I also like veggies because they are healthy, tasty, flavory and dishes. I love cheese pizza because i like cheese and i love pizza, the cheese is ozzy as slime             

                                                                                                              

4.Family

I especially love spending time with my family because i can use up my time.It is always fun playing with my family like my cousins, some of my cousins names are Rakin, Abbet, Tanesha, Afra, Afea, rahat, he was cheeky as a little mouse skittering around and jesen  was chubby as a bunny. I have heaps of uncles, aunts and cousins i have got my grand parents to. Me and my cousins play mostly outside on a nice day but when i was there it was really cold on the morning but hot enough straight after lunch. My aunts my uncles and my grandparents were watching tv with me when my cousins were a bit busy.

All about me.

My best memory

My best memory was when I was  little I went to Bangladesh and I saw all of my cousins some of there names were Afra, Afea, Tanesha,

Jecen and Anaf. I also saw my grandpa and grandma. I saw some of my aunty and uncle. I played heaps of games like tag,board games, hide and seek and more. When I was going back to new zealand everyone was sad. I was sad to when we were going.

What makes me laugh

One day my cat poppy was doing some funny tricks, like jumping, playing with her pink stuffed animal and running really fast. Later my cat poppy ran outside and splashed into a big puddle and got all wet, she was not happy. We had to dry poppy all up, she really was annoyed. It took a long time to dry poppy because she was a big cat, after that it was dinner time for me and poppy so she went back outside and had her dinner. Later it was bedtime for me but poppy did not want to go to bed because it was early for her. When I fell asleep poppy went to sleep.  

A most loved hobby.

When I was 5 years old me and my mum usto baked  cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and more. First we made a banana  cake. I was getting all of the ingredients like  4 eggs, butter, 3 bananas, sugar, and self rising flour and there might be some more. My mum mixed at the start then I mixed at the end, my mum put the batter in a tray then we had to put it in the oven. Then we had to wait. When the cake was ready we took the cake out of the oven. Then we let the cake cool down. When we got to eat the cake I was the first one to taste it.              

A most fun fact

When I was 4 years old me and my family  went to the museum and it was full of animals, like  giraffes, hippos, lions, horse, and more. First we looked at the hippos. There were 4 of them and also  they were eating some food. Next we looked at the giraffes there was 4 giraffes, they had a really really long neck. After looking at the giraffes we looked at the lions, all of the lions were looking at us because I think they were hungry. Later we saw the horse there was 3. They  all were running in there big space.
